The name “1800” refers to the year that tequila was first aged in oak barrels, which was a revolutionary process at the time. The agave plants used in the production of 1800 Tequila are grown in the Jalisco region of Mexico, where the soil and climate are ideal for producing the sweet and aromatic plant.  The brand is known for its high quality and has won numerous awards in the spirits industry.
