Savagnin isn’t a very well know grape, but it should be used more in our opinion. It has been grown in Jura, Eastern France for over 900 years and is mainly used for the sherry-like Vin Juane. Domaine Berthet Bondet Savagnier is a dry style of this grape and has a lovely blend of exotic tropical and citrus fruits on the nose, (pineapple, lemon, lime) with a subtle floral hint. The pate has a beautiful texture, fresh acidity and a long finish.
