Hexamer, Riesling Trocken Schlossbockelheimer In den Felsen 2020

Hexamer Riesling Trocken is produced by Weingut Hexamer, a family-owned winery in the Nahe wine region of Germany, it is a dry Riesling that showcases the best of German winemaking.

Riesling is a grape variety that is often associated with sweetness, but this is not the case with Hexamer.

Trocken is a German term that means dry, and this wine is a perfect example of how Riesling can be made into a delicious and refreshing dry wine.

The grapes used in the production of Hexamer Riesling Trocken are grown on steep, slate-rich slopes that are typical of the Nahe wine region. The cool climate and slate soils help to give the wine its characteristic minerality and acidity.

The winemaking process is carefully controlled to ensure that the wine is of the highest quality. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected before being pressed. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a cool temperature.

The result is a wine that is light and refreshing, with notes of citrus and green apple, as well as a subtle hint of mineral. The acidity is well balanced, providing a crisp finish that makes it a perfect accompaniment to food.

This can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif, or paired with a range of dishes, including seafood, poultry, and spicy Asian cuisine. It is also a great wine to pair with cheese, particularly those that have a slightly nutty flavour, such as Gruyere or Comté.
