This is the second whiskey in the Jameson Caskmates collection, as with the stout edition, the casks were sent to Franciscan Well brewery to age some IPA beer and then back home to the Midleton distillery where they were used to finish this stunning whiskey. On the nose, we get fresh grapefruit and lime, vanilla pod and sugared almonds. In the mouth, the whiskey is smooth with lovely hints of oily walnut and hops, caramelised dates with a zesty citrus. Malt, white pepper, caraway and green apple complete the flavour profile on the finish. Great whiskey and great value! 40% ABV, 70cl bottle.
