This wine is true Burgundy; a diverse range of aromas and tastes are on offer, with 14-16 months spent in 25% new French Oak barrels giving tertiary notes of sweet spice, damp earth and truffle, interlaced with classic red cherry, wild strawberry and dried cranberry. Grapes are handed harvested and interference is kept to a minimum to ensure the influence of the terroir shines through in the wine’s appearance, scent and taste. A velvety mouthfeel is complimented by a ruby-red colour and a tart chewiness. with fine, noble tannins offering structure and balance, melding into a long, fruity aftertaste. This is a prime example of what Burgundy wine can offer when given time and respect.
