A unique wine from the low-yielding commune of Lancié (situated beside Morgon), this Gamay is sourced from vineyards that have been free from weed-killer, synthetics and chemical fertilizers for some 50 years. This allows the natural clay/granite terroir to shine through in the wine, giving it a flinty edge and bright fruitiness. Anticipate dried cranberries, Summer strawberries and wild blackcurrant on the nose and subsequently on the palette. It offers a soft, velvety mouthfeel, with subtle tannins and a deep, lasting finish. This Gamay is best served slightly chilled and paired with cured meats and hard cheeses.
