“Perfect balance between youth and maturity” This couldn’t be a more true phrase for this wine.  Made from 100%  old vine Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) Matsu El Recio has been aged for 14 months in second use French and Eastern European Oak barrels which gives the wine notes of vanilla, pastries, cocoa and coconut. There is also a freshness as fruit notes also dominate, especially red fruits and strawberry tones. The palate is very balanced and full of complexity.  Silky, velvety tannins combined with very good acidity gives it length.
