This small-scale project of the famous Catalan winemaker Ricard Rofes and his wife Magda Pellicer, started in 2011. ‘Rar’ means something unique and exceptional in Catalan. It is a spectacular winery, situated at an altitude of about 500 meters in the heart of Priorat, about 50 kilometres southwest of Barcelona.

These 2 local varieties are fermented in stainless steel to extract maximum fruit, then stored in cement tanks to soften the wine and add more body. Aromas of citrus and grapefruit with hints of spice and floral notes. Medium bodied with good acidity and nice round mouthfeel
