Roberto Riga Rosso

The winery was founded at the beginning of the twentieth century in Ziano Piacentino with Luigi Montemartini, a natural science scholar and deputy of the Kingdom of Italy.

The estate and thirty-five hectares of vineyards constitute an important wine-growing reality that spans the decades until it became, in 1991, Cantine Casabella.

A reality aimed at growth; in 1998 Cantine Casabella purchased the production and bottling plant in Castell’Arquato, which is still the headquarters and soul of the winery today.

Walking among the rows of Ziano Piacentino, your gaze extends across the entire Val Tidone. Here, for over a century, Casabella have been cultivating the most renowned vines of the winemaking tradition, the first step in a production that they follow personally, from the bunch to the bottle.

Roberto Riga rosso shows enticing aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, and plum mingled with subtle notes of vanilla and spice, creating a sensory experience that is both alluring and complex. On the palate, the wine reveals layers of cherry and blackberry, complemented by well-integrated tannins and a lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression.

This pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes, from hearty pasta dishes and roasted meats to aged cheeses and rustic Italian fare.
