The Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask is a well-balanced and sophisticated single malt Scotch whisky that has been aged for a minimum of 15 years in two different types of oak casks. The first cask is made from sherry seasoned American oak, while the second cask is made from sherry seasoned European oak. The combination of these two types of oak casks imparts a unique character to the whisky, with a range of flavours and aromas that are both rich and complex. The American oak casks bring sweet notes of vanilla and toffee, while the European oak casks impart hints of dried fruit and oak spice. The Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask is bottled at 43% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
