Almost since its foundation, Bodegas Olarra has been recognized as the Great Cathedral of Rioja or the greatest exponent of Wine Architecture. Its impressive construction, the work of Juan Antonio Ridruejo, is one of the first exercises in architecture applied to a winery and one of the first times that a prestigious architect designed a winery.

With 50 years of history, Bodegas Olarra bases its wines on the best selection of raw materials, on traditional production methods that have been adapted to changing times and on a calm evolution of its wines according to the new tastes of the consumer.

The families of winegrowers that supply grapes to Bodegas Olarra are faithful to the philosophy of the winery, they take care of the vineyard because it is their heritage, they are not governed exclusively by economic criteria, they love the vineyard and, above all, they are not willing to uproot not a single vine.

Aged between 14 and 16 months in American oak barrels, with periodic racking. After clarification and bottling, it remains in the bottle for a minimum of four months.

High intensity dark red and notes of cherry. Fruity aromas that precede the spices, give way over time to greater aromatic complexity, like the great vintages of Rioja.

On the palate it has a very good structure, which augurs great longevity. It is soft and round in the attack with a long smooth finish.  This is great value for money and a firm favourite among our staff.
